How To Get Ornaments In Animal Crossing

TheFestive Season is an event inNew Horizons. It lasts from December 15th to January 6th, regardless of hemisphere, and serves as a lead-up to Toy Day.

Ornaments and Event

During the Festive Season, only shaking decorated cedar trees will result in an ornament dropping. There are three types of ornaments based on rarity: Red, Blue (both with a 7.5% drop chance), and Gold (with a 5% drop chance). A total of 14 ornaments can be collected from a tree from both sides. However, there is no limit and an infinite spawn of ornaments per cedar tree. If a decorated tree is transplanted it will become a regular tree. These ornaments can be used in crafting special seasonal DIY Recipes. The Ornament wreath can be obtained from Isabelle during the daily announcement. Additional recipes can be obtained from shooting down balloons. Cedar trees without decorations will not drop ornaments.
